FROM DUSK TILL DAWN THE SERIES should be praised..Robert Rodriguez has delivered Top-notch entertainment with this series and for those tempted to compare it with the original movie:It's based on it. It's not meant to beat it and not based on true events. The elements and atmosphere are there and it goes on for hours. characters are fun and well casted. The Titty Twister is still the place to be and the original theme song ''After Dark'' by Tito & Tarantula has been revamped and tunes you into a new episode. It takes talent and balls for a producer to take this challenge and RR does it right. A sexy freak show,never boring and very well shot. Great Special FX. Enough characters for a 10 seasons trip and even more blood to keep it fresh. Lagrimas De Sangre!Lagrimas!!! Recommended!
very slight spoilers:<br/><br/>I enjoyed the first series, however it highlighted the problems I had with the original movie. <br/><br/>I loved the original film, however I always liked the first half of the movie a lot more. essentially from dusk till dawn has always been 2 movies in one in my eyes. The first half being about 2 brothers robbing a bank and are on the run from the cops with one brother being slightly psychotic to say the least. I loved the chemistry between the two brothers in both versions. I also loved the volatile relationship between the two, and the series handles this with great success in my opinion.<br/><br/>The second half of the movie and series is it's weaker side I feel, however in the movie I felt it handled it a lot better than the series did. In the series it expands on a lot of things that happens in the movie, and for me it started to feel a bit daft towards the end. <br/><br/>So to sum it up I really liked both versions and if you loved the movie you will probably enjoy the show. The series handled the first part of the movie with success, but overreached trying to over complicate what the movie did in the 2ed half.
